So what’s my problem with Ricky?
I’m often asked over the years what my problem is with Ricky. Why the bad blood? Why did I register all the domains he had posted in an online poll as a future website? Why the sniping back and forth? The main reason is because Ricky, at the very core of his being - does NOT care about anyone. He does not temper his actions with with respect and dignity for others - only how they will serve his purposes. I will let his words speak for himself.
In addition, any of the advertisers that continue to support ricky’s blog after this will not get my business nor will I recommend them to anyone. I hope the rest of you will send the same signal.
“When I heard of Virginia Tech Massacre, I was bit amused. You see, I’m a fan of Virginia Cavaliers — there is no love lost between Virginia Cavaliers and Virginia Tech Hokies. The rivalry between these two are quite difficult to explain.
Then I was baffled to learn that the shootings took place in West Ambler Johnston Hall and Norris Hall. I had to dig up the old letters that I had with my ex.
True biz, my ex, Todd, used to live in West Ambler Johnston Hall and studied engineering in Norris Hall. We split on very bad note.
Here is the brief story, I asked my sister to inform him that I was killed in an automobile accident. Later, they sent the sympathy card to my parents, much to my horrors. But they never figured out why they sent the card in the first place.
Why did I do that? Because I can’t stand Todd’s parents. Long story.
Today, Todd still resided somewhere in Roanoke. A place I rather to avoid for the rest of my lifetime. I was young, so was he. We were in the closet. Except that I’m out right now, and he is not. I pity him, though.
However, it was surreal to learn that the massacre took place in these buildings where Todd used to frequent. Ack.
It was such a tragedy for Virginia Tech.
But I bleed buff and blue as well as orange and blue. So I really can’t have a soft spot for Hokies. My laws does not permit me to.
On other hand, I’m concerned about what happened at Virginia Tech, the Department of Public Safety at Gallaudet would overreact on little things at Gallaudet.
I remember reading one book where I liked the quote, “Where we go, none return. I decided to copy the quote and post it on my door for the world to read.
Suddenly, all hell broke loose. Resident Advisors and Peer Advisors (this was in 1992, mind you!) came to see me to make sure that I was not suicidal. Never mind the fact that I’m against suicide, they were certain that I was suicidal even when I showed them the quote from a book. They insisted that I seek counseling which was absurd. So off to the mental health clinic I went — and it was silly.
Gallaudet has a tendency of overreacting to little things rather than to be proactive. Let’s hope for the best, shall we?
Cheers,
R-”

i’m fine with people being apathetic or desensitized or whatever you want to call that ‘fuck all if i don’t know ya’ attitude, but that individual isn’t controversial, as his site’s byline claims - he’s just your average, run-of-the-mill- horrible person who happens to be deaf and gay. big shit.
but hey. fox news can find advertisers so it isn’t much of a stretch that this guy can as well.
A well placed ouch, I think.
