Running Log
Dare I say, that 8-miles are becoming almost routine? Only four months ago, I would have recoiled in horror at the thought of having to sustain a running pace for eight-miles.
Now as I wound my way through the darkened streets of D.C., along the shimmering waters of the Potomac, swinging around the Jefferson Memorial, the straight-line run down the National Mall, noting with bemusement a game of flag-football being played in the dark by a bunch of guys wearing glow sticks for headbands, and a football wrapped in luminscent tape sailing through the dark sky. Reaching the Capitol, I veer left and head up Massachusetts Ave towards home. And it was rather… fun. I didn’t struggle at all, and instead had a wonderful evening run.
Today’s route: 7.9 miles, 1hr 10m.

i can’t even run 1 mile without resorting to a foot dragging jog and an eventual total body collapse.
also, you’ve been tagged for a meme. no feelings will be hurt if you don’t do it.
